About Mike Atack

Mike's career began in the UK. He joined the Financial Services Industry, in the early 1970's, as an Investment Consultant. His role was to sell. He had to. He was on commission-only. It was a 'baptism of fire'! During his 20 years in the business he succeeded in sales by;

• generating referrals
• presenting convincing propositions
• building strong relationships with clients
• building teams of people to do the same

In 1983 he participated in a personal development course that had a major impact on his life. Business flourished as never before. Mike was promoted again and again. He was a 'walking advert' for the course and recommended colleagues and business associates to enrol.

In the mid 90's Mike joined the global company that ran the course, as a Regional Manager, to sell the courses and develop others to deliver them. Mike quickly recognised there was a massive need within businesses for their executives to become better presenters. He attended an in-house presentation skills train-the-trainer programme and started selling high impact presentation courses to senior managers and delivering them himself. Mike quickly earned the reputation of being one of the finest presentation skill trainers in the marketplace. Colleagues from across the UK volunteered to work with Mike on his courses to further develop their own skills.

He spent seven happy and very successful years as a Regional Manager, becoming one of the top salespeople and presentation skill instructors in the UK and in the world.

In 2001 he formed the 8ack Organisation.

Mike and his team have created a portfolio of personal development and leadership training courses.

He moved to Dubai in 2005.
