The word 'coach' has its derivation in the method of horse drawn transport - which was the quickest way to get from A to B. In the 8ack world it has come to mean the 'intervention', which facilitates an individual unlocking their fullest potential.
A good coach can look at the world through the eyes of their ward, understand the impact they make through the eyes of others and work to take that impact 'to the next level'.
8ack coaches have a fine reputation for 'making a difference' through their insight and their skill of delivery. Continuing the tradition of helping people get more quickly from A to B.
So, what do we need to do to make your presentation memorable?
An informal meeting with Mike Atack to discuss the purpose of your presentation based on the outcome or results sought and the key points you want to deliver. Ideas on presentation formats, how organise the key points, visuals to create etc will start the 'thinking wheels in motion'. Discussions about the use of autocue, notes, lecterns, vox pops, your introduction, running Q & A sessions etc will also take place.
Mike will also help you
We now need to hear the 'first draft' of your presentation. What may sound good on paper doesn't necessarily sound good as the spoken word, or indeed vice-versa. Mike will work with you - interactively - to;
Following a debrief, you will leave the rehearsal with constructive feedback enabling you to produce the final draft of your presentation with supporting visuals etc.
You will deliver your presentation a number of times. Each presentation will be videoed and reviewed to identify, what went well and what might be improved in terms of content and/or delivery style. As in Step Two, you will work interactively with Mike.
Ideally this takes place the day before your presentation at the Conference location and using the Conference AV set up. This is an opportunity to familiarise ourselves with the 'set' and 'make any final adjustments to your presentation.
